2020 Northern Travel & Tourism Show

The Monastery, Manchester — 25 February 2020

Our very first Northern Travel & Tourism Show welcomed nearly 200 visitors to meet over 50 attractions and tour operators in the stunning interior of Edward Pugin’s gothic masterpiece.

On the day before the show there was a choice of two fam trips – one hosted by Visit Lancashire which explored Lancashire highlights including Lancaster Castle and Samlesbury Hall with lunch on a canal boat from Canal Boat Cruises at Riley Green – and another around Manchester organised by Marketing Manchester, which gave GTOs a real insight into the history and character of this great city.

The itinerary included a 90 minute guided bus tour of the city’s historic highlights, a curated visit to the Museum of Science and Industry, a three-course dinner with wine, and an expert talking about Manchester’s amazing contribution to music.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to organise and run the Northern Travel & Tourism Show together with the team at GTO magazine. Many thanks to our exhibitors and visitors for making it such a success on the day!”
